You will be working for the Marine@UGent consortium (link). This consortium is a central point of contact for industry, government and other stakeholders regarding marine and maritime research and guarantees high-quality research and advice. Our members consist of more than 50 research groups of UGent across eight faculties and the Flemish Marine Institute (VLIZ).
In order to promote the excellence of Marine@UGent in science, education and innovation a new communication strategy and communication plan is required. Communication tools needs to be evaluated that will bring together scientists from the different faculties, but also the Blue sector, governments and other stakeholders.
This includes (but is not limited to):
- Brand management: establishing a basis for the Marine@UGent brand;
- Developing communication material for various stakeholders (presentations, videos, new letters, ...),
- Organisation and coordination of events, exhibitions and conferences;
- Management of social media and websites;
- Creation of presentations, newsletters and other documents;
- Supporting group initiatives and ensuring that key corporate messages, guidelines and initiatives are implemented effectively and consistently;
- Ensuring that group communication tools, guidelines and activities are properly cascaded and implemented across partners (Ostend Science Park, Coastal and Ocean Basin, etc.)
- Developing a website and promotion material for the Blue Growth Summer School (link)
