Foraging behaviour of Bass Strait marine predators

The student will assist in the analysis of at-sea movements and behaviour of numerous marine mammal (fur seals) and seabird (little penguins, gannets, shearwaters etc.) species in south-eastern Australia in relation to environmental variables. The student will develop skills in interpreting data from GPS tracking, dive behaviour loggers, accelerometers and animal-borne cameras. In addition, the work will involve developing skills in numerous relevant R packages.
