Life history parameters as possible discriminators of marine populations in Azorean waters

Fishing is the main activity at sea in the Azores. About 130 species have been annually landed in regional ports by commercial fleet. Among them, 22 species were classified as priority stocks for assessment and management purpose. For each stock, life history information has been summarized to feed statistical models and assess current stock status. This internship aims to continue this work and use life history information as possible discriminators of marine populations in Azorean waters.Fishing is the main activity at sea in the Azores.
