The student will help in the data analyses of GPS tracks taken from fishers and the catch data taken from catch logbooks from municipal and commercial fishers. The student is expected to have an excellent skills in GIS software and mapping and working knowledge in quantitative and spatial data analyses. He should be able to write technical outputs based on the outcomes of the survey. The day to day routine in the office includes data encoding, analyses and writing as well as additional sampling of data.

There are housing available in the area, rental is about 3000-5000 pesos (50-100 euros) a month. However these are not fully furnished meaning, she/he needs to buy the mattress and the pillow as well as basic kitchen stuffs if needed. Otherwise he can also eat outside or buy food stuffs outside.
