Photo Identification of marine mammals

The student will asist in cataloging digital images of killer whales, humpback whales, common dolphins and Australian fur seals obtained from tour boat operators and commercial fisherman for photo-idenification purposes.  These data are being collected to study the movements and demographics of the various species in south-eastern Australia.  If conditions and logistics are available, the student may have an opportunity to collect additional images in the field.
